GML Type 1 A-Double Access Now Included for Barham–Koondrook Bridge

Improved heavy vehicle access has been confirmed for the Barham–Koondrook Bridge, with GML Type 1 A-Double access now included on the relevant road train network map.

The change provides greater certainty for operators using the important Murray River crossing between Barham and Koondrook, improving connectivity for freight and livestock transport across the region.

The Barham–Koondrook Bridge is an important cross-border freight link between Victoria and NSW, and improved access for higher-productivity combinations supports more efficient movement of freight through the region.

Operators should continue to check the current NHVR Route Planner and relevant network maps before travelling to confirm route conditions and any applicable access requirements.

LRTAV welcomes this important access improvement for industry and regional freight.
